All that’s on my mind right now is hearing Harry Kalas’s voice, “Strike 3, batter out, Phillies are the 2008 World Series Champions of baseball.” Personally, this year we will win it all I think, but it’s a shame that Harry will not be here to announce it. Harry was the voice of the Phillies. His strong voice was recognized all over, it produced much power. When you heard it, it was unbelievable. I remember back in 2008, on that cold night after the dreadful rain. I was staring into the T.V. My eyes glued to the screen. Throughout the whole game, I was yelling and screaming at the top of my lungs when good plays happened and even the bad ones. As the time went on, I knew we were approaching victory and I was so excited. Then in the 9th inning, with two outs and a 1-2 count on the batter, Harry Kalas made a great game ending call that is still in my head today, as well for millions of people all over the Philadelphia region. Even though I never met him, he had to be one hell of a guy. From all the good things the players said when he passed away and his son, and all the Phillies people within the organization had high praises about him. What happened to him shocked me, and everyone else in the world. All good things must come to an end. Harry is in our memory and we will never forget. Even though he is gone from the world, every night the Phillies win, his famous song he always sung is played.
